The Scale of the Universe →
This is probably one of the coolest interactive applications I’ve come across. It genuinely puts into perspective how small we are as humans in the magnitude of the universe. We often forget how much is out there and how much we don’t yet know. This interactive website definitely reminds me of my place in the grand scheme of things.

Interview Someone
I absolutely love the shots in this video, they’re incredible. The lighting, composition, movements - they all come together so well in this video about graphic design and photography. It’s inspiring to know what motivates a designer and to get a better understanding of the journey they took in order to get to where they are.

Trust in Elements
A great insight into the life and inspirations of a graphic designer. The video allows us to see the process of digitally designing a piece of artwork and it’s truly fascinating. I am pretty sure this is also an advert for the stock photo website, fotolia.com. Nonetheless, the video was insightful and inspirational. I recommend you give it a watch!

Ground Release / United Kingdom / London
This is a cool video showcasing creativity in the form of graffiti. The graffiti artists that feature in this video are talented, but what I was even more impressed by was the great shots of London throughout.
Find out more about Ground Release.

Prom Night
I’d describe this video as weird but wonderful. It’s so abstract to the point where I’m still unclear about exactly what’s going on in the short film. There may be some elements of symbolism, but it’s questionable. The cinematography and lighting are beautiful and enhance the atmosphere and feel of the film. There’s something about it that’s...

Project Alfie
I’ve only posted a handful of music on this blog because this blog isn’t really about music unless there’s some other creative element involved, so I thought I’d post this great music video because everything about it is different from your average video. There is a sense of authenticity and realness about the music because it is acoustic but it’s imaginative...

Hard Drive
This video introduces us to some of Toronto’s finest entrepreneurs and business minds. We get a quick glimpse into their thoughts on innovation and technology. It’s quite an inspiring and eye-opening video produced by Eighteen Eighty. It’s also nice to see a video with incredible cinematography and some really nice shots!

Another cool video about another cool design studio, The Partners.

Going Gone Gorilla
This is a cool project that involved hand-lettering facts about gorillas onto a black gorilla sculpture. Using heat sensitive paint meant that during the day, the artwork on the gorilla would be revealed, but during the night, the sculture would return to it’s black state. It’s a fantastic concept and brilliantly executed. A great way to advertise Bristol Zoo. To...

Computer Arts presents Studio Life: Landor London
I’ve just watched a great short film that’s all about design - from the process of receiving a brief to final ad campaign ideas. We get to see one of the top design studios, Landor London, from a different perspective and it’s fascinating. The film gives us a great insight into creative thinking with a particular focus on...
